He is an Okanagan native born and raised. In his early years he founded three startups, exited, and traveled the world for a year. Upon returning he joined Microsoft in Canada for 10 years developing technology strategy in mining, forestry, retail, and telecommunications. He then moved to San Francisco with Microsoft as a Chief Technology Strategist focused on cloud strategies for healthcare and technology verticals. He returned to Canada in 2015 to be a founding partner at Brightwork Ventures. Brightwork Ventures is a boutique investment firm with early stage investments in several technology businesses.
Brodie has multiple advisor, board and chair roles. He is also active in mentoring and supporting early stage companies as they accelerate through their growth stages. His areas of focus are digital disruption in niche markets leveraging technology solutions to accelerate growth for seed stage companies. In recent years he has been focused on the realization of value by supporting, advising and helping companies produce successful exits.
Brodie has been an Investor in Residence for The Next Big thing. He is active in youth entrepreneurship and is supporting the growth of angel investing.
Brodie is an avid experience seeker, and can be found on caving expeditions, sailing trips, scuba diving and long-distance motorcycle adventures.

Rick Ross
Founding Partner
Rick is American born and Canadian raised. In1989
he entered the music industry, opening a music store
and recording studio at 18 years old. Successfully
exiting his small business after seven years, Rick
moved into the IT industry where he climbed the
technological ladders of Microsoft and Cisco
products, specializing in VoIP, Security and
LAN/WAN management for Fortune 500
companies in the Seattle, WA area. After working
with multiple consulting companies for over a
decade, Rick started Anrias. In 2015, Brodie joined the
company allowing Rick to step down and pursue other
interests. As Brodie continues to grow the company,
Rick’s focus is on emerging technologies such as
Blockchains, NFT’s and Metaverses.
Rick is an avid gamer, reader, writer, scuba diver, foodie and world-traveler
(usually on a motorcycle).
