​​Brodie Desimone is an Okanagan native with a lifelong passion for innovation, adventure, and mentorship. He began his career as a serial entrepreneur, founding and exiting three startups before taking a year off to travel the world. He later joined Microsoft Canada, where he spent a decade shaping technology strategy across mining, forestry, retail, and telecommunications sectors.
Brodie was then promoted to Chief Technology Strategist at Microsoft in San Francisco, where he led cloud adoption strategies for healthcare and high-growth tech companies. In 2015, he returned to Canada to co-found Brightwork Ventures, a boutique investment firm specializing in early-stage technology companies.
Today, Brodie serves as an advisor, board member, and chair across a number of ventures. He is deeply committed to supporting founders during high-growth phases, with a focus on digital disruption in underserved markets. His work often centers on accelerating value creation and guiding companies toward successful exits.
Brodie has served as an Investor in Residence at The Next Big Thing and remains active in youth entrepreneurship and angel investing.
Outside of work, Brodie is an avid experience seeker. Whether caving, sailing, scuba diving, or riding motorcycles across continents, he brings the same spirit of exploration to life as he does to business.

Rick Ross
Founding Partner
Rick is American born and Canadian raised. In1989
he entered the music industry, opening a music store
and recording studio at 18 years old. Successfully
exiting his small business after seven years, Rick
moved into the IT industry where he climbed the
technological ladders of Microsoft and Cisco
products, specializing in VoIP, Security and
LAN/WAN management for Fortune 500
companies in the Seattle, WA area. After working
with multiple consulting companies for over a
decade, Rick started Anrias. In 2015, Brodie joined the
company allowing Rick to step down and pursue other
interests. As Brodie continues to grow the company,
Rick’s focus is on emerging technologies such as
Blockchains, NFT’s and Metaverses.

Rick is an avid gamer, reader, writer, scuba diver, foodie and world-traveler
(usually on a motorcycle).
